Introduction

Ninjacart is India’s largest agritech startup, founded in the year 2015, based out of Bengaluru. It is working to solve the issues related to agri marketing in a holistic manner. It does so by engaging with all the participants in the agri value chain and attempts to solve their critical issues. Ninjacart is India’s largest technology-driven platform organizing the agri ecosystem.

Our end-to-end marketplace solutions offer capital, commerce and fulfillment solutions to farmers, resellers and retailers.

Ninjcart operates through the following 2 business models:

  1. Fulfillment Model :  Ninjcart operates collection centers where fruits and vegetables are procured from the farmers and the same is supplied to retailers in the cities. It predominantly supplies to the unorganized segments of retailers like kirana shops, pushcarts, smaller hotels, etc. It has a fully digitized paperless supply chain, leveraging IoT and mobile technologies. This model is currently operational in the cities of Bengaluru and Chennai.
  1. Platform Model: Ninjacart facilitates trade between production side farm aggregators and demand side traders and distributors. This is done through a host of services like search and discovery platform, working capital enablement, collection services, logistics service, etc. In this model, Ninjacart does not directly buy the produce, however it enables the existing parties to do more and efficient trade by being a trusted platform. Currently, it facilitates trade in limited commodities, but has the potential to replicate it across the agri-products. With the teams present in all the states (except North East of India), they are well placed to facilitate PAN India trades.
